This initiative gives organizations a comprehensive and effective protection against advanced threats and malware by providing:

  1. Real-time endpoint sensor and continuous recorder with next-generation threat protection to automatically confirm and prioritize alerts.
  2. Immediate enterprise-wide visibility into all systems infected with modern cyberattacks.
  3. Automatic configuration for trust-based endpoint and server protection using events identified by Palo Alto Networks.
  4. Immediate access to any file on any system across the enterprise to automatically determine the possibility of sophisticated attacks.

“The combination of Palo Alto Networks’ network security and Bit9’s endpoint security solutions will give enterprises a new level of insight into what’s happening anywhere in their ecosystem and protect against potentially devastating advanced threats and targeted attacks,” said Patrick Morley, chief executive officer of Bit9. “Organizations using Wildfire will be able to extend the value of their investment by integrating Bit9 into their security stack. Bit9 customers will be able to easily deploy Palo Alto Networks’ solutions and immediately see the benefits of a single console view in Bit9 so they can quickly and precisely respond to threats.” The integration will provide customers with improved security, reduced operational effort and accelerated incident response times.

“Bit9’s unique approach to endpoint security is a superb complement to our next-generation firewalls and WildFire service,” said Mark McLaughlin, president and chief executive officer of Palo Alto Networks. “This integration will extend for our mutual customers industry leading threat prevention on their network in addition to their endpoints.”
